Two Brothers - A Gameboy like action adventure game

Not to be confused with "Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons".

Last night I got contacted by the gentleman behind the Two Brothers soundtrack. Cuz apparently he liked our Youtube channel and our videos. I was of course flatterd by that, so I decided to check out what kind of game Two Brothers (Ackk Studios) was/are.

I wouldn't regret my decision to do so. Because as It all turns out, Two Brothers (PC, MAC, Linux, XBOX 360, and WII U. are a really neat action/adventure. The game looks like a new made Gameboy game actually. So I really hope that we will recive a review code for the game asap!

Oh, btw! You can buy Two Brothers on Steam for 14 Euro =)

About the Two Brothers:
"Two Brothers is an Action Adventure game that features a classic Gameboy aesthetic.
You play the role of Roy and Bivare guarder, two scientists who are researching the origins of life.

While researching, Roy is met with a terrible fate, and has a near death experience. While Roy is on the other side of death, he visits an afterlife filled with beautiful 16 bit colors. Now that he has experienced this visual glory, he becomes obsessed with bringing the colors from the afterlife in to his mono chromatic world."

Panchito Chepas - The biggest asshole of them all

panchito chepas
Say hello to Guybrush Threepwood evil brother "Panchito Chepas".

I can´t be the only one that has started to notice that Spain has become a huge player on the indie scene. Because over the last two years, i have written about a handful of Spanish made games. But i´m all for that. Why? You might ask yourself.

Because the Spanish studios make very "different" and uniq games. Just take Pinodrom Studio´s adventure game "Panchito Chepas" for example. At first sight, i have to say that Panchito Chepas looks (and feels) like a adult version of "Monkey Island".

And the whole point behind the game is to be the biggest asshole possible (in other words. Become a babe magnet). That sure sounds interesting. But there´s a catch to all this. And that would be the 6,000 Euro goal on Indiegogo.

But i think Pinodrom Studio´s will reach that goal very soon. Because  Panchito Chepas has almost collected 1/6 of that goal already. And there´s 53 days left on the indiegogo watch. Anyhow, i wish Pinodrom the best of luck with Panchito Chepas!

About Panchito Chepas:
"In this game you play the role of Panchito Chepas, a seemingly innocent character who has just come to a godforsaken town. You will discover that gold is the real engine of the town, and all the dirty tricks you know will be put to the test in order to acquire all the precious gold. This is no game for a person of high morals; to get through you will have to be a real bastard."

SanctuaryRPG - A old school text based RPG game

ASCII ftw!

I bet that the most of you (our readers) don´t remember the old textbased adventure/RPG game "Zork (Infocom) Well, I sure do!  Cuz I played the very first Zork back In the early 90s (Ms-Dos). I actually learned a lot of my English thanks to Zork.

But Im more than aware of the fact that Zork ain't exactly everyone's cup of tea. Some may think that It´s really boring, and some will give up after a while. Me though, I keept playing and playing. Becouse, you see I was a huge Dungeons and Dragons fan.

So for me, Zork was something of a blessing. And I really like to read as well. That´s also why I smiled inside and out, when I heard of Black shell games "SanctuaryRPG". Which just happens to be a ASCII textbased RPG game.

So If your into that kind of game. Then you should most definitely give SanctuaryRPG a try!

About SanctuaryRPG:
"SanctuaryRPG is a text-based roguelike inspired game that entered development in late 2012. It utilizes ASCII art, along with the imagination of the player, to create a world of wizards and warlocks, ghosts and goblins, and soups and salads. In addition to having six playable character classes, the player can also choose among nine unique races, explore the game world, and engage in many quests. As the plot thickens throughout the game, the player can craft items under an apprenticeship, wander the countryside, fight creatures, and if the player is charming enough, even romance a lovely cow!

The game features a classic turn-based battle system, involving many different styles of attack, a diverse array of weapons, and magic abilities. The monsters you fight each have different strengths, weaknesses, and abilities. SanctuaryRPG features a combat system with a classic RPG style interface (in ASCII form). There is also a streamlined leveling system based on experience points (gained from battle) and skill points (like dexterity and strength).

SanctuaryRPG’s fans often describe the game as having a “choose-your-own-adventure” game feel; it offers classic dungeon-crawling gameplay that is inspired by Nethack, Zork, and Legend of the Red Dragon. SanctuaryRPG also borrows design elements from classic games such as Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest."
