Escape Goat - The adventure of the teleporting goat
Well, who needs Portal when you got a goat with teleporting skills really?
I don´t know if you guys are familiar with Magical Time Bean´s past games (Soulcaster 1, 2 Action Tower Defense). But i couldn´t avoid pay attention to Ian Stocker´s (the co-founder of Magical Time Bean) neat game Escape Goat (you can buy the game on XBL and Steam).
Cuz Escape Goat doesn't remind me of any other game that i ever played before. It´s like a puzzle/action game with one hell of a twist (the goat for starter). I mean, you play as a goat that jumps around like Super Mario. And you can teleport yourself.
So yeah, Escape Goat are a pretty uniq game imo. But i don´t know if it´s your cup of tea of course. But im quite sure that your going to like it if you´re a fan of puzzle and platform games (the really hard kind).
About Escape Goat:
"The Sheep are Slumbering.
And while they sleep, the Prison of Agnus remains closed, with you trapped inside. To escape, you must work with a mouse companion to solve puzzles, overcome devious traps, and outwit determined foes.
scape Goat is a new take on puzzle platforming. Developed with a unique physics engine that allows pixel-perfect world manipulation and destruction, you must use the environment to your advantage to overcome over 50 rooms of challenges. If this isn’t enough, use the built-in level editor to create your own wicked contraptions!"

Prison Architect Alpha 17 - The prison madness continues
Prison Architect keeps on evolving over time.
I think that it´s rather safe to say that Introversion Software goes from strength to strength. Cuz their Prison Architect game are probably one of the most interesting and fun indie games on the market right now. And guess what?
The Alpha 17 version now offers armed guards! For more information and details. Please checkout the press release and the Prison Architect Alpha 17 video =)
Prison Architect Alpha 17 press release:
These guys are excellent for suppressing your prisoners more raucous behaviours. Stick a couple of these dudes in the canteen or the yard and things'll calm right down. Useful they just wander around looking tough, but hit that weapons free button and things'll get messy - you'll lose so many prisoners that it'll be a game-over event, but don't let that stop you blowing off some steam.
We've also introduced smart highlighting in the object menu and introduced forestries so you can begin producing the raw materials for use in the workshops. As per usual there are a ton of bug fixes and the modding system continues to grow. Enjoy!"
Shattered Planet - A multiformat F2P RPG game
Shattered Planet are set for a release in March this year (PC, MAC, Linux, iOS and Android).
Well, well, well. And what do we have here? A rather neat and interesting F2P survival-exploration RPG game so i must say. And the name would be "Shattered Planet" (made by Kitfox Games). I just checked the trailer out, And you know what? I really like it!
So i just have to make up my mind about which format i should play Shattered Planet on? It leans towards PC to be honest. But "IF" i own iPad before Shattered Planet comes out in March. Then i might just play the game on iOS instead.
About Shattered Planet:
"A survival adventure on a dangerous world, searching for the cure for an all-devouring darkness. A world lies broken after an ancient war, yet a faint signal comes from deep within the core, promising relief from the Blight disease. The Galactic Union has sent their top scientist to investigate — and he sends you!
Shattered Planet is a free-to-play survival-exploration RPG for tablet and PC, set in a futurist world. The game is a classic turn-based, randomised RPG, with endlessly generated content and dozens of differently powerful items to find.
We pair the regular sense of progression from modern randomised games like Rogue Legacy or FTL with the more traditionally intricate challenges of games like Rogue and Nethack. The art style has been compared to the award-winning Bastion, but the gameplay is more thoughtful and strategic, requiring planning sometimes dozens of turns in advance."
Tex Murphy - Tesla Effect
Apparently things are working out pretty well for the people at Big Finish Games. But then again. Their Tex Murphy - Project Fedora Kickstarter campaign, became a huge success (the game collected "almost" 600,000 bucks).
That´s also why i wasn't too surprised to hear that there´s a new Tex Murphy game in the making. And it´s named nothing less (or more) than "Tesla Effect". And "if" everything goes according to plan. Big Finish Games will release Tesla Effect sometime this year via GOG and Steam.
Shadow Of Nebula - A sci-fi adventure game from Poland
Kan nästa stora äventyrsspel komma ifrån Polen?
I can´t really say that i have played (or heard) of that many Polish adventure games. But Shadow Of Nebula just happens to be a Polish sci-fi adventure game. It´s a rather interesting adventure game as well. That's also why i find it rather saddening, that there´s no trailer for Shadow Of Nebula.
At least not yet. Cuz Shadow Of Nebula reminded me of the old school point and click game "Beneath a steel sky" actually. And that´s just a good omen in my book.Because Shadow Of Nebula seems to be a nice mix of both sci-fi and cyberpunk elements and environments.
That´is also why i look forward to seeing more from Shadow Of Nebula asap! And who knows? We might even get a review code for the game as well =)
"What exactly is Shadow Of Nebula? It is a point'n click adventure game set in a science fiction world mixed with cyberpunk. Yeah! :) Do you like space ships, new technology, the unknown? Good! This is the game for you. Of course there is a lot of puzzles, dialogs (our dialog trees are really huge), cyberspace where you can go anytime you want and many more surprises."
