Audio Sprite - The Charity Remix Album

Audio Sprite tries to raise money for CLIC Sargent (CLIC Sargent is the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people).

I just heard about Audio Sprite´s charity album "The Charity Remix Album". All the money will go to CLIC Sargent (they help young kids and children with cancer in the UK).So it's a really good cause behind it all. Cuz i don´t think anyone should die at the age of 11 because of cancer.

So if you can, then please donate via Audio Sprite´s justgiving page.

About the The Charity Remix Album:
"Raising on behalf of my friends little brother Ted, who sadly lost his battle with cancer, aged 11. Ted was a big Mario fan,and a fan of videogames in general, so please take a moment to read the following.

The aim of this project is to raise much needed funds to help children fighting cancer. I will release a full album of video game and children TV theme remixes for free via my soundcloud page if enough people donate to this worthy cause. Free music in return for helping those less fortunate? Everyone is a winner! :D

You can keep up to date with the tracks being added by following this link : https://soundcloud.com/audiosprite87/sets/the-charity-remix-album

Metroid Metal - Lower Norfair

"Metroid Metal" by SpoonyBardess.

I have been a huge fan of Nintendo´s Metroid series ever since the very first Metroid game came out for the NES back in 1986. And i was actually really happy to find out that the main character of Metroid, was/are a women (Samus Aran).

Because i was around that age when you started to realize that girls ain´t half that bad (i was about 10-11 years old). And i have liked Samus Aran for many, many years now. But there´s another big star of Metroid as well. And that´s all the soundtracks that´s been made for the series throughout the years.

And one of the very best Metroid cover bands out there (imo), are Stemage (Metroid Metal). I mean, just listen to the "Lower Norfair" song for exmaple. Epic beyond epic!

C64 Alien (1984) LIVE - SID Main Theme

LukHash = 100% talent!

I sure know talent when i see (or hear it). And LukHash (his from Poland originally. But he lives in the UK now days) sure ain´t no exception. I just heard his "C64 Alien" song. And, goddamn! Now i understand why LukHash won the Remix64 ROTY Awards 2013 (Best C64 Remix, with the song "Spy Vs Spy").

Anyhow, you guys just have to check LukHash out! Cuz he freaking rocks =)

About Lukhash:
"THE IDEA to create my own musical project came to me in 2003, when I had began to create and record my own musical compositions under the name of SH MUSIC. All instrument parts (guitars, bass, piano, drums, synths) are composed by myself.

EXPERIMENTING with SID chiptune and Nintendo digital logic soundchip began in 2009. Commodore 64 systems and a couple of 1989's hacked Nintendo Gameboy consoles created a blend of original 8bit sound from 80's and Rock music.

SH MUSIC self-defined as 8bit Rock is a fusion of many different styles and music genres. Pure crunch and raw sonority of the 8bit machines uniquely blends with some modern sounds. All in all the best way to describe SH music is to say that it is all straight from the heart.

OVERALL a dose of some fresh and energy music to the ears..."

Wing Commander Music Orchestral Recording Project

Mr George Oldziey in his studio.

It was just pure luck that i stumbled upon George Oldziey´s Kickstarter campaign for his Wing Commander music orchestral recording project. Because I was searching for some information about Wing Commander (the very first game was release back in 1990) last night.

Anyhow, i just thought that i should mention Oldziey´s Kickstarter campaign. Cuz i´m quite sure that a lot of the Wing Commander fans would love to see this happened. There´s a tiny "little" problem though. Cuz Oldziey needs $35,000 within 6 days from now (the project are 15K short).

Or else there will be no Wing Commander music orchestral recording. So, hurry up people!

About the Wing Commander Music Orchestral Recording Project:
"George Oldziey is looking for game music fans from around the world to help fund an orchestral recording of music from Wing Commander. Many of you know me, George Oldziey, as the composer for many historic video games, but probably most notably 3 games from the iconic Wing Commander series. I've been blessed to have very dedicated fans of my music for many years, and I would like to offer them the opportunity to participate in this historic endeavor.

The initial goal of $35,000 is to record a 9 1/2 minute suite of music from Wing Commander 3 and 4 featuring a full 80 piece orchestra and 40 voice choir. The recording will most likely be done in either Prague or Bratislava, both homes to amazing game and film scoring orchestras, some time during the summer of this year.

There will also be an additional 5 minutes of music included in the initial goal, the pieces of which will be chosen by those who pledge at the highest levels. We will also institute a series of stretch goals beyond the initial amount to hopefully record more of my Wing Commander music while we have the musicians at the ready.

Since the orchestra and engineers will already be set up (and I'll be there too!), we could record another 15 minutes for approx. another $12,000 (target of $47,000), and then another additional 15 minutes of music at a $59,000 target! That could potentially get us up to a whopping 45 minutes of orchestral Wing Commander music!

The video will give you more info about me and this project. One last note about the rewards; I added the $20 digital download reward after I'd already launched the campaign, and pledges were made at several levels very quickly. Once that happens Kickstarter doesn't allow one to edit the text of a reward level. But rest assured, ANYONE pledging at levels above $20 will also be eligible for a digital download if they so choose! I will update everyone very frequently on the progress of this exciting adventure!"
